Although our culture celebrates and rewards endless productivity, our body needs a balance of activity and rest. How do we honor our natural need for restorative downtime despite the constant external messages that we should fill every moment of our time with activity?

Again and again, I have seen evidence of Love flowing through the backyards of the US (and us), connecting our hearts and showing that we are more alike than we could ever be different. Each train trip, each look through this window, deepens my sense of connection, compassion, and love and shows me something much more real than ways we keep ourselves apart.

How often are untrue or outdated stories playing in the background of our lives, quietly shaping our experiences in ways we don't intend or desire?

Change is a natural part of life. Just as the seasons shift and the shoreline is reshaped by wind and waves, we too find ourselves moving through cycles of renewal and growth.
